Tom Mullins

As is the case with so many of us, Bro. Tom Mullins owes his introduction to the Lord Jesus to a family member. While attending a revival at Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church his aunt led him to receive Christ as his personal Savior. Bro. Tom worshiped at that church until moving to Memphis where he worked for the Greyhound Bus Line as a driver. In 1984 the Mullins returned to Chester County to retire. They moved their letter to Sanford Hill at that time and began to serve God here. Bro. Tom was ordained as a deacon in 1992. His first wife of many years passed away after a 20 year battle with cancer. Bro. Tom says, ?I lost my mate but not my faith in the Lord.? Tom has often shared that only with God?s help and the prayers of Sanford Hill was he able to pass through that ?valley of the shadow.? ?God has richly blessed me in my later years. I was certainly blessed when Kathleen became my wife.

John 3:16 is Bro. Mullins? favorite verse of the Bible. His favorite hymns are ?Amazing Grace?, ?What a Friend We Have in Jesus? and ?When the Role Is Called Up Yonder.? His favorite Christian author is Rick Warren who wrote ?The Purpose Driven Life.?

Bro. Tom?s dreams and goals include living a Christian life as an example to others and then to be bold enough to speak to others about their salvation. ?I want to do a good job with the families in my group and to work with my fellow deacons and Bro. Cole and Bro. Gibson so that our church may continue to grow and for many souls to be saved.?
